my family been making these since before grandma. can be served with breakfast, lunch or dinner. whats great about these is that they are very versatile.. u can add diced green pepper,onion & mushroom at begining of cooking.. add crumbled bacon and scrambled eggs at the end..

Ingredients

  1. 5 lbbag idaho potatoes
  2. 5 tbspbacon grease
  3. 1salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

    peel then rinse potatoes.

  2. 2

    slice potatoes thin and blot with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  3. 3

    heat bacon grease in the bottom of a large skillet with a lid.

  4. 4

    place sliced potatoes on top.

  5. 5

    sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  6. 6

    place lid on potatoes and cook on medium/high heat for ten minutes.

  7. 7

    scrape up and flip potatoes. replace lid. and cook for 15 min. flipping every 5 minutes. ( when removing lid let the water/condensation drip into the skillet.)

    remove lid and cook another 10 min.. still flipping every 5 min.

    remove from heat and serve.

    enjoy!

    u can also add nearly any type of meat to this as well. or serve alongside your meal.
