Ingredients

1 hour
4 servings
  • 2 lbsirloin steak, sliced
  • 1/4 cupdistilled vinegar
  • 1 envelopesazon seasoning
  • 2 tbspadobo season salt or to taste
  • 1 can16oz. diced tomatoes, undrained (optional)
  • 1/2 cupsofrito
  • 2 1/2 tbspblack pepper
  • 1/2 cupolives with pimento
  • 1 largeonion, sliced half moon
  • 1/2 cupcooking wine, white or red ( I use red goya wine)
  • 3 mediumpotatoes, peeled & quartered
  • 3 can16oz. beef stock
  • 1/4 cupextra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbspminced garlic

  1. 1

    I start peeling cutting potatoes first & place in cold water just to get them out the way.

  2. 2

    Cook steak in olive oil on medium-high heat. Season with salt & pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, then add garlic.

  3. 3

    When steak half thoroughly cooked add vinegar and wine. Cook for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add rest of ingredients, except tomatoes. They go in last 10 minutes of cooking, if you decide to use. Bring to a boil.

  5. 5

    After 5 minutes of boiling, lower heat to simmer & cover. Cook for 30-45 minutes until meat tender.

  6. 6

    Serve with red or white rice & beans, & salad.
