Ingredients

  • 1gorogoro potatoes
  • 2 tbsThafai powder
  • 2maize
  • 80 mlcooking oil
  • 1 tspsalt

    Dondoa maize from cob and place in a sufuria

  2. 2

    Add 2cups water and salt then cover for it to boil.

  3. 3

    Peel potatoes as maize boils. After 20minutes check to see if maize is cooked

  4. 4

    Add peeled potatoes to boiled maize and more water to it.

  5. 5

    When potatoes are cooked which takes around 10-15minutes turn off heat and start mashing the potatoes

  6. 6

    Add thafai powder and a little more salt as you mash.

  7. 7

    When completely mashed place on low heat for a few minutes for mokimo to heat up make sure to keep on turning then turn off heat and serve while hot
