Cooking Instructions
- 1
Add 2 cups of rice into blender.
- 2
Fill blender HALFWAY with water. It might overflow through the top if you add too much water.
- 3
Blend rice and water on liquefy setting for about 10-15 mins. When done rice should be completely liquidize. If not continue for 5 minutes at a time.
- 4
Pour rice mixture into a 1 gallon pitcher. Add more water until pitcher is about 3/4 way full. I usually pour it through a coffee filter or a fine strainer as I pour it into the pitcher.
- 5
Add milk and vanilla extract.
- 6
Add sugar and cinnamon to taste.
- 7
Fill the rest of the pitcher with water.
- 8
You can let it chill or just pour over ice. Enjoy.

Genmai Tea Infused Jasmine Rice Horchata Genmai Tea Infused Jasmine Rice Horchata
You can make horchata with a variety of grains and infuse it with all kinds of flavors. I really like the combination of jasmine rice and tea, and the water-like viscosity of this lighter horchata combined with genmai tea is a refreshing pairing for a number of Asian-inspired dishes.Note: This recipe is for the lighter Mexican style horchata rather than the heavier tiger nut-based Spanish style. x -
