  1. 1 lbpotatoes peeled and cut into chunks
  2. 2 ozinto chunks potatoes
  3. 2fresh green chile seede and finely chopped
  4. 1fresh red chillies seeded and finely chopped
  5. 1 tspblanched almonds finely chopped
  6. 2 tspdry unsweetened coconut
  7. 1 tspchopped fresh cilantro or parsley
  8. 2 tspall purpose flour
  9. 1 sliceinch / 2.5cm piece fresh ginger root grated or finely chopped

    cook the potatoes in a large pan word lightly salted boiling water for 20 to 25 minutes or until tender. drain well and mash with a fork or potato masher. Tipped into a bolt and let stand until cool enough to handle

    stir the chili almond coconut salontro flower and ginger into a mashed potato mix well season to taste with salt. cheap the mixture into small balls between the palms of your hands and gently flattin into patties.

    HEAT ur oil for deep frying to 350°F 375°F fahrenheit or 180°F 290°F celsius 4 intel a cube of bread dropped in the oil browns in 30 seconds. Deep fry the patties in batches if necessary for 5 minutes or until golden. train on the paper towels and serve at once with chutney
