Ingredients

  1. 1 cupwashed yellow Moong dal
  2. 1 1/2 cupSugar
  3. 3 cupWater(you can use milk too)
  4. 1 cupPure desi ghee
  5. 1/4 cupChopped cashew nuts
  6. 1/2 tspCardamom powder
  7. 2 tspAlmonds soaked and chopped
  8. 2 tspPistachio soaked and chopped
  9. 1/2 cupMawa

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Wash and soak moong dal for 4hours

  2. 2

    Strain it and grind in the mixer

  3. 3

    Heat pure ghee in a wok and add ground dal to it

  4. 4

    Roast dal on low flame till it changes its colour to brown and aroma comes

  5. 5

    It will take around 45 minutes at low flame

  6. 6

    On the other side mix sugar and water (milk)heat till sugar melts

  7. 7

    Add this sugar syrup in to the roasted dal,,

  8. 8

    Stir it slowly

  9. 9

    Now add cardamom powder and half of the dry fruits to it..mix it well.

  10. 10

    Now add Mawa to it.

  11. 11

    Stir it till the consistency becomes thicken like Halwa

  12. 12

    Garnish with dry fruits and serve hot.
