preheat oven 350°F

grease and base line 2 18cm round tins
- 3
mix coffee grans with 2 tbsp boiling water and leave to cool. cream butter & sugar, add eggs, flour, baking powder, milk & cooled coffee & mix until light & fluffy & add walnuts. divide into tins & bake at 350°F for 30 mins or until cooked. remove from tins & cool on rack.

dissolve coffee grand in 1 tsp boiling water & cool. Place butter & half powdered sugar in bowl & mix til creamy, add rest of sugar, milk & coffee mix til smooth. Spread half over 1 cake & place other cake on top & spread rest of icing, arrange walnuts on top, serve & enjoy
