Mujadara Rice
Serve with shish barak or cucumber yogurt salad.
Steps

Pick over the lentils, rinse, and boil them until halfway cooked.

Add the rice, water, and salt. Let cook until the rice is done.

Meanwhile, sauté the onions in butter and vegetable oil (amounts as desired) until golden brown.

Once golden, add the onions to the mujadara, stir well, and serve. Enjoy!
