Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cupmilk
  • 1/4 cupwater
  • 2 1/4 tbspsugar
  • 2 1/4 tbspunsweetend cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cupchocolate chips
  • 1/4 tspvanilla
  • 1egg yolk

Steps

  1. 1

    add milk and water to sauce pan and heat until steaming

  2. 2

    add in sugar and stir until dissolved

  3. 3

    add in cocoa powder and chocolate chips and stir until fully melted and incorporated

  4. 4

    add in vanilla

  5. 5

    temper in one egg yolk and cook on low for 4 to 5 minutes. Constantly stir the cocoa.

  6. 6

    strain the hot cocoa and serve
