Cooking Instructions

    chop all fresh produce and set aside while the hamburger meat is browning.

    in a cast iron pan set to 3/4 heat, add grease with freshly cooked bacon.

  3. 3

    place 2 lbs. hamburger meat in pan and stir to allow maximum coverage of the pan. Add the spices to the browning meat. (use a regular sized coffee cup and cover the base with all the spices. )

    Allow for most of the hamburger meat to be browned before adding the vegetables.

    Add a cup of water to the pan (coffee cup or 8 fl. oz) Allow to simmer on medium heat for about 25 minutes, or until the onions are clear.

    Serve with tortillas and homemade pinto beans!
