bring water to boil in a large vessel

scoop out and discard the eyes of the tomato

make a criss cross cut at the base of each tomato

put the tomato in the boiling water for 3 to 4 minutes

remove and put in cold water for sometime
- 6
when tomatoes are cool, peel and discard the skin,

chop roughly and blend to a smooth puree in blender
