Tina's white castle sliders

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 350°F
- 2
Mix all but onion together.....use your hands works better.
- 3
Put meat mixture on a cookie sheet (I covered pan with foil first) and spread out. recipe says use a rolling pin but I just used my hands. spread it all out evenly to edges of pan. I used largest sheet I had.
- 4
Bake for 10 minutes and remove from oven. if there's a lot of grease drain off
- 5
Sprinkle chopped onion around edges of meat and bake for 15 minutes
- 6
Remove from oven scoop onions from edges and spread on top of meat. take cheese and lay on top put back in oven and cook 7-10 more minutes till cheese is good and melted.
- 7
Remove from oven place top of rolls on top of the meat. put them as close together as you can. depending on how much meat shrinks and type of rolls you use will depend on how many sliders you get. (side note..I bought Walmart rolls from their bakery cause that's the only ones I could find in the store.)
- 8
Prep time is 5mins to mix meat. bake time will be 40-50 mins. if you omit the cheese instead of 7-10 mins I baked for 5. I left cheese off because two of my kids don't like cheese.

Like white castle sliders Like white castle sliders
The reason for "like" white castle sliders is, the bun is not like what they use.some say the secret ingredient was liptons soup mix, or peanut butter, but the facts are when he started these back in 1906, he wanted it made from something readily available to all. And it was butter. skunkmonkey101 -

Peanut butter is the accurate ingredient, but isn't a necessary one. You can taste it a little when it's in there but you don't really notice much of a difference when it's not Brad Wells -

For those more interested in just making and eating a better Slider.Plain -VS- a sweeter bread? It's your call! The added sodium in this dish from both the broth and onions does pair nicely with the sweetness of the King's Hawaiian Rolls. With that, they really do create a great medium for the hamburger. Even structurally speaking. However, IMHO, a plain white dinner roll, like Sara Lee, works best for these Sliders. They will also taste the most like an original White Castle Slider®You can select your favorite comparable soft bread. Just be certain that they're fluffy! Sliced hot dog buns with the ends chopped off [makes 2] or hamburger buns cut into squares [makes 1] both work well in a pinch.Lastly, please follow this recipe, "as listed." No real onions instead of reconstituted - no substitutions - or this for that. For guaranteed success, wait to make this recipe if you're missing any ingredient. MMOBRIEN -

This recipe is slightly modified from Taste of Home. I’ve made this dish several times and my family loves it. I’m a picky person, but if you need some extra flavor you can add the hamburger toppings such as onion, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Taustin Kaste -
Spaghetti sliders Spaghetti sliders
Just something different to do with spaghetti. i’d serve this with a Caesar salad or a side salad . This would be great to use if you had some leftover spaghetti...( this reminds me of taking a piece of bread and butter and putting spaghetti on it and making a roller over sandwich when I was growing up)This is a very easy dinner and takes no time to make on them busy day’s/nights.youtu.be/u0x1NIayLrc 🌈NinjaMommaKitchen🌈 -
Fried Bun Chicken Sliders Fried Bun Chicken Sliders
A delicious recipe from Sadia Mohamed's savoryandsweetfood.com (highly recommend!) with some alterations for spice and quantity. The original recipe gave me only 8 buns, so I've doubled it to match the quantity of the chicken sauce filling. Zed
