Preheat oven to 350º. Empty apple pie filling into 8 x 8 pan. Mix in the vanilla extract along with the cinnamon with the filling and spread evenly over bottom of pan. (add as much or little as you like) Spread dry cake mix on top of filling. Slice the butter and place all over dry cake mix. Bake for 30-45 or until desired crust is obtained minutes at 350º. Can be served warm with a scoop of ice cream or enjoy cooled.
