Ingredients

  1. 1 cupflour
  2. 1/2 tspsalt
  3. 3/4 tspsoda
  4. 1 tspcinnamon
  5. 1/4 tspnutmeg
  6. 3/4 cupsoft shortening
  7. 1 1/3 cupbrown sugar
  8. 2eggs
  9. 1 tspvanilla
  10. 2 cupquick cooking oats
  11. 1 cupraisins

Steps

  1. 1

    preheat oven 350

  2. 2

    sift first five ingredients into bowl

  3. 3

    add shortening,sugar, eggs, and vanilla

  4. 4

    beat until smooth.

  5. 5

    stir in oats and raisins.

  6. 6

    drop heaping teaspoons on greased baking sheet

  7. 7

    350f for 12-15 mins

  8. 8

    makes 3 1/2 dozens cookies
