This is way to make traditional carnitas there are many different ways to do it but this is my favorite please try it and hope you like it

I got this recipe from my friend, Stephanie Fleck. You would never know there’s cinnamon in it unless you were told, but it adds a wonderful flavor! I make a double batch and freeze the leftovers for a quick and easy taco meal.

I concocted my carnita recipe from a few other recipes. All ingredients can be adjusted to your taste. I usually put it in crockpot but I have been known to put in on the grill as well. Some recipes call for added fat but I feel the pork produces enough on it's own it's not needed.

Here in south texas, we love carnitas. There so good and i just have to share this mexican dish with you all. These are made different ways, in a disco, or bbq pit. I made them in the oven, hope you can try them soon.

This is an easy weekday meal that is both inexpensive and quick to make. We like to batch cook our proteins (with some exceptions) on the weekend to make our lives easier with these kinds of recipes.

Serve in Tacos, Burritos, or in a salad : )
