Wash and peel pears, Leave the stems attached

Remove core from the bottom of the pear

Cut bottoms of pears so they stand flat

Combine ingredients in saucepan and bring to boil

Place pears in liquid

Keep at a low simmer until the pears are soft and easily pierced (20-25 minutes)

Place the pears in a container and pour the liquid over them

Let rest overnight

Combine the Brie, dried cranberries and walnuts

Scoop filling into bottom of pear

Wrap each pear in 4 pastry sheets

Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until pastry is golden brown

Slice in half and serve
