Ingredients

  1. Pakwan
  2. 1 cupAll purpose flour -
  3. 1 pinchCumin seeds -
  4. to tasteSalt -
  5. 2 tbspOil -
  6. Oil - for frying
  7. Dal
  8. 1 cupBengal gram/chana dal -
  9. 1/4 cupDhuli moong dal/lentil -
  10. 1/4 tspCumin seeds -
  11. 1Chopped tomato -
  12. 1Chopped green chilli -
  13. 1/4 tspTurmeric powder -
  14. 1/4 tspBlack pepper powder powder -
  15. 1/2 tspRed chilli powder -
  16. 1/2 tspAmchur powder -
  17. to tasteSalt -
  18. 1-2 tbspChopped coriander leaves -
  19. 2 tbspOil -

Steps

  1. 1

    Pakwan
    Take a bowl add all purpose flour,cumin seeds,salt and 2 tbsp oil and mix well.

  2. 2

    Make a soft dough with adding water and keep aside for 30 mins.

  3. 3

    Now make pakwan like u make thin chapati.

  4. 4

    Prick the chapati with folk.

  5. 5

    Heat enough oil in a pan.

  6. 6

    Deep fry in hot oil until golden and crispy in a medium flame.

  7. 7

    Dal
    Soak chana dal and moong dal for half an hour.

  8. 8

    Add salt and turmeric powder and pressure cook for 5 mins

  9. 9

    Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan

  10. 10

    Add cumin seeds to crackle.

  11. 11

    Add chopped tomato and saute for one to two mins.

  12. 12

    Add red chilli powder,black pepper powder,amchur powder and mix well.

  13. 13

    Add in the chana dal.

  14. 14

    Garnish with coriander leaves.

  15. 15

    Enjoy dal pakwan.
