Umm Ali (Egyptian Dessert) Umm Ali (Egyptian Dessert)
#post15 - This is a traditional Egyptian dessert that is very popular in all Middle Eastern countries, especially during Ramadan. It is made of puff pastry / croissant and is almost similar to bread pudding, but without any eggs. It is very simple to prepare where all you need is to pour thickened milk over some shredded croissant, followed by some cream, coconut and chopped nuts. It is then baked till done. Can be enjoyed hot or cold. I prefer the latter one. So here is my version where I added some khoya and flavoured it with cardamom powder and some rose water instead of the usual vanilla essence that is used. #goldenapron Bethica Das -
Khatoon (Nan) Panjereh (Persian Dessert) Khatoon (Nan) Panjereh (Persian Dessert)
I often saw these khatoon panjereh along with other deep-fried desserts such as "bâmieh" (Iranian-style churros) at pastry shops in Iran during Ramadan. They can be found most frequently in March during the Iranian New Year."Khatoon panjereh" means "lady's window" in Persian. I was told it was given that name since the shape of the mold resembles a window frame. Various kinds of designs for these molds are sold in Iran. The finished appearance and ease in making them is dependent upon the temperature and type of oil. Managing the oil temperature can be difficult, but the key is to keep an eye out on the temperature at all times. Recipe by Nbiriya cookpad.japan -
Kahk (Egyptian Dessert) Kahk (Egyptian Dessert)
I learned this recipe from my Egyptian friend's grandmother, who is a great cook.Since the dough is not very sweet, it's better to sprinkle on a lot of powdered sugar.Kahk without any filling tastes great also.Ghee is a butter that is made from milk fat from water-buffalo. I bought it at a wholesale market in Tokyo. Since cardamom has a strong smell, it's best to use it in moderation. Recipe by pumpkinpot cookpad.japan -
Chewy Pao De Queijo for Dessert Lovers Chewy Pao De Queijo for Dessert Lovers
I only have eyes for things with a springy texture. Especially when making my beloved pao de queijo, I tried various recipes by making it with shiratama rice flour, glutinous rice flour, and potatoes etc., but making it with tapioca powder was the best! This is a personal preference, but turning on the heat after adding in the tapioca powder will make it even springier. Most pao de queijo is cheese-flavored, but I arranged it in a manner that would compliment sweet red beans.Make sure that it doesn't burn when you add the powdered ingredients to the pot and turn on the heat. This will turn out to be a rather heavy dough, but keep kneading it without taking a break, and the springiness will increase even more. Recipe by Chokohoney cookpad.japan -
Bengali Restaurant Style Falooda/Falooda (Dessert) Recipe 🍜 Bengali Restaurant Style Falooda/Falooda (Dessert) Recipe 🍜
#bcamFalooda/falooda is a very popular cold and sweet beverage/ dessert dish for summer and great for Iftar during Ramadan in my Country Bangladesh.Falooda is very refreshing. Traditionally it is made with lots ingredients. here I have tried to make it simple and easy for homemade version to keep it original flavour. You can use or add fruit by your choice, just pick sweet one. Rose essence goes well with this recipe, though you can use Rooh Afza which will give you a royal flavour and colour together. If you don’t have any of these liquid to use just boil milk with 1 cardamom pod. However, it's my most favorite dessert. Am sure you will also enjoy it . Take LOVE from BANGLADESH. 💙 Bengali Spice 💚 -

A Sweet Paneer and Milk Dessert: Ras Malai A Sweet Paneer and Milk Dessert: Ras Malai
This dessert, which is served at wedding feasts in India too, is a great dish to serve to guests that everyone likes. People talk about "that ras malai served at that wedding..." years after the fact.In India, fall and winter are the seasons for festivals. So I made this to fit the seasons. In step 2, if the cheese mixture doesn't come together even after kneading for 5 minutes, try adding 1-2 drops of water.Chill well in the refrigerator, and eat the same day you make it or as soon as possible. It's so delicious that once you have it, you won't be able to forget it. It's ideal to serve as a dessert to guests. Recipe by Plabar cookpad.japan -
