Ingredients

  • 1 kgchicken (cleaned, cut & washed)
  • 5 tbspbeaten curd
  • Pinchedible yellow colour
  • 2 tspginger garlic paste
  • 1Juice of lemon
  • 100 gmsroasted sesame seeds
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2 tspwhite pepper powder
  • 1 tspblack pepper powder
  • 3-4onions sliced and fried
  • Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 cupmilk
  • 200 mlfresh cream
  • 1 tsphaldi powder
  • 4-5saffron strands soaked in 2 tbsp milk
  • 2-3bay leaves
  • 4-5 tbspoil

Steps

  1. 1

    Blend curd, fried onion slices, yellow colour,lemon juice,salt,black & white pepper powder,milk,cream,sesame seeds & haldi powder to a smooth paste. Marinate chicken in this paste for 4-5 hrs.

  2. 2

    In a kadhai heat oil. Add bay leaves. Add ginger garlic paste & saute for few minutes.

  3. 3

    Add the marinated chicken & cook on high heat for 5-7 minutes. Add the soaked saffron milk mixture. Cover the lid & cook for 10-15 minutes on medium heat until chicken is tender.

    Garnish with coriander leaves.

    Serve hot with steam rice.
