Dry roast rava in low flame do not brown it

Take out in a plate keep aside

In the same pan heat oil add mustard seeds when crackle add chana and urad dal fry for 1 minute

Now add cumin seeds peanuts curry leaves,and hing

Saute a little then add onion and green chillies fry for a while add little salt

When onions are done add tomato fry for 1 minute, cover the pan and cook for 2 minutes.

Meanwhile boil 3 cups water with salt(ratio of rava and water should be 1:2.5/3)

Add 2 1/2 cups hot water to onion tomato masala cover and let it boil, keep 1/2 cup hot water for later use

When water with masala starts boiling add little by little rava to it and stir continuously

Cover the pan cook for 2-3 minutes, if needed add the hot water kept for later use

When rava is cooked and upma is dried add lemon juice mix well then switch off the flame

Take out the upma in a bowl level it and keep aside for 2 minutes

There after cover with a plate and flip it
