Corn Custard

I found this recipe online about 10 years ago. Ever since then I have made this part of my holiday meals. It's also great for a cold night.

This batch is done with improvising. I didn't have creamed corn, but I did have frozen corn. So this pictured batch is as follows:

1 cup butter
1 bag of frozen corn
1 can of cream of celery soup
1 cup of milk
2 eggs
1 box of Jiffy cornbread mix

And guess what? It worked!!

  1. 1 cupButter
  2. 2 cans (15 oz)each) creamed corn
  3. 2Eggs, beaten
  4. 1 box (8 oz)corn bread mix
  5. Salt & Pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. 2

    Melt butter in a baking dish. Add corn, eggs, corn bread mix, and salt and pepper. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour. The finished product should appear like "set pudding."
