3smoked ham hocks
2 lbdry beans (pinto, black, split pea, navy, lentiles, ect )
1/2 largeonion
1salt to taste
1water

Steps

put beans and hocks into a pot and fill with water, cook on medium high heat until beans are tender, normally about 3 hrs for the bigger beans, half that time for the smaller beans.

add salt if need and serve
