1 packagesGumbo Base
2 tbspvegetable oil
2 lbshrimp, raw, peeled, and deveined
1 lbCajin smoked sausage (andouille) , cut into 1-inch cubes
1/2 cuponions
1/2 cupbell pepper
1/2 cupcelery

Bring water, Gumbo Base, and oil to boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve any lumps.

Stir in vegetables.

Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in shrimp and sausage; cover. Simmer additional 30 minutes.

Service over rice.
