Ingredients

  • 1 largeOnion
  • 1 lbGround beef
  • 1 tspgarlic powder
  • 3 lb3 (1lb) canned tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 oz1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  • 1 tbspBrown sugar
  • 1 tspSalt
  • 1/2 tsporegano
  • 1/4 tspthyme

Steps

  1. 1

    In Dutch oven, combine onion, meat and garlic, cook meat until browned and onion is tender.

  2. 2

    Skim off excess fat; add remaining ingredients and 2 cups water. Simmer uncovered 3 hours or until sauce is thick; stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Serve over hot spaghetti
