  1. 2 loavesbread for torrijas (or French bread)
  2. 5eggs
  3. Sugar
  4. Cinnamon sticks and ground cinnamon
  5. Lemon and orange peel
  6. Milk

    Slice the bread into thick slices.

  2. 2

    In a saucepan, bring the milk to a boil with sugar, cinnamon sticks, and the lemon and orange peels.

  3. 3

    Once the milk has boiled, soak the bread slices in the milk mixture.

  4. 4

    Beat the eggs in a bowl, then dip the milk-soaked bread slices into the eggs to coat them.

  5. 5

    Heat a skillet with plenty of oil.

  6. 6

    Fry the bread slices after coating them in milk and egg until golden brown.

  7. 7

    On a plate, mix sugar with ground cinnamon, then coat the fried torrijas in the mixture.

  8. 8

    Arrange the torrijas on a serving plate and let them cool before eating.
