Ingredients

  1. 2medium onions
  2. 2green bell peppers
  3. 2carrots (size as needed)
  4. 1.1 lbsboiled beef, cut into small slices (about 500 grams)
  5. Salt
  6. Black pepper
  7. Nutmeg
  8. 2 clovesgarlic
  9. Grated ginger

Steps

    Chop the onions and green bell peppers. Grate the carrots.

  2. 2

    Place a tagine or oven-safe pot on the stove. Add corn oil and butter. Add the onions, garlic, and ginger, and cook until softened. Add the grated carrots, then the bell peppers. Cook until they start to soften.

  3. 3

    Add the boiled, sliced beef and gently stir to combine.

  4. 4

    Add a little water from time to time, allowing the beef to absorb the flavors.

  5. 5

    Place the tagine under the broiler in the oven until the top is golden brown.

  6. 6

    You can add hot peppers if you like.

  7. 7

    This is a quick recipe that gives you the same flavor as a traditional oven-baked tagine.
