Chop the onions and green bell peppers. Grate the carrots.

Place a tagine or oven-safe pot on the stove. Add corn oil and butter. Add the onions, garlic, and ginger, and cook until softened. Add the grated carrots, then the bell peppers. Cook until they start to soften.

Add the boiled, sliced beef and gently stir to combine.

Add a little water from time to time, allowing the beef to absorb the flavors.

Place the tagine under the broiler in the oven until the top is golden brown.
