Soak desi chana for 6 - 7 hours or overnight.

Boil it in pressure cooker with oil and salt. Cook till 8 whistle.

Cut onion in thin slices, chop tomato and potato in small pieces.

In a pressure cooker take oil and add whole spices. Then add tomatoes to it.

When tomatoes are cooked add onion slices. Cook till it becomes transparent.

Add boiled chana and potato to it. Cook for 5 mins.

Add green chilli paste, ginger garlic paste, all the dry masalas and salt to it. Add 1 tbsp water and cook for another 2 mins.

Add required water and cook for another 4 - 5 whistle.

When pressure release, open the cooker and stir well. Take out some potatoes, mashed it then add in the gravy.

Garnish with coriander.
