A friend gave me this recipe when I was living in Barcelona. The original recipe included tuna and cilantro, but I left those out. Ingredients

  1. 2small wine glasses cooked chickpeas (about 1 1/4 cups or 200 grams)
  2. 1little red bell pepper (Florina pepper or regular red bell pepper)
  3. 1green onion, finely chopped (just the green parts)
  4. 1small yellow onion, finely chopped
  5. 1tomato, diced
  6. 1cucumber, diced
  7. 1 pinchcumin
  8. Salt
  9. 2 tablespoonsolive oil (30 ml)
  10. 1 tablespoonapple cider vinegar (15 ml)

Steps

  1. 1

    Place the cooked chickpeas on a serving platter.

  2. 2

    Dice the cucumber and tomato, finely chop the onions and red bell pepper.

  3. 3

    Mix everything together. Add the olive oil, apple cider vinegar (adjust the amount to taste), cumin, and salt. Stir well to combine.

  4. 4

    Refrigerate the salad so it chills and the flavors blend together.

  5. 5

    Serve cold. For a nice touch, serve it on top of toasted rustic bread.

Παθος για τα μπαχαρικά κ την κουζίνα, τις κατσαρόλες κ ότι τέλος πάντων έχει να κάνει με την μαγειρική!Ο πατερας μου ήταν μάγειρας κ γνώριζε τοσο την Ελληνική παραδοσιακή κουζίνα οσο κ την αιγυπτιακή.Εχω εντονες αναμνήσεις απο τα φαγητά του με το άρωμα του κόλιανδρου (κουσμπάρα) κ του κιμινου.Εργαζομουν παλιότερα κ επέστρεψα τώρα κ πάλι σε καφενειο παραδοσιακο με μεζεδάκια οποτε είμαι από τις τυχερες που ασχολούνται με αυτό που αγαπανε...την κουζινα.Εχω την τυχη να δοκιμαζει κοσμος τις συνταγες μου κ να βγαζω συμπερασματα από τα σχολια τους κ από την ζητηση των μεζεδων!
