Ingredients

2 servings
  • 1 kgSpinach
  • 1/2 cupbutter
  • 2green chilli,
  • 4-5 clovesgarlic chopped
  • 2 tbspGinger chopped
  • 1Onion big chopped
  • 1 teaspoonground cumin
  • 1 teaspoonground coriander
  • 1 teaspoonsalt

Steps

15 Minutes
  1. 1

    In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat, and cook and stir garlic, ginger, onion and turmeric until fragrant, and transparent about 2-5 minutes.

    Boil spinach for 2 minutes and immediately run under cold water to preserve it's green colour.

  3. 3

    Grind it in the mixer jar.

  4. 4

    Stir in the grinded spinach a little at a time,
    Continue to add greens, and cook and stir until all have been added.

  5. 5

    Stir in the cumin, coriander, and salt.
    Cover; reduce heat and simmer until greens are tender, about 10 minutes, adding water as needed to keep the greens moist.
    Serve hot with a spoon of butter on top with Makki ki Roti or Wheat roti.
