Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and bay leaves in it and allow it to crackle.

Then add garlic and onion into it and cook it until garlic's raw smell is gone and onion becomes brown respectively.

Into it, add salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and red chilli powder and cook it for 2-3 minutes.

Now add curd in this mixture and cook it until spices start leaving sides of the pan.

Then add Kala Chaka in this mixture, add water as per your choice and add garam masala powder and cook it well for 10-15 minutes.

Your Kala Chana Ghooghni is ready to serve now.

You can serve it with boiled rice, chapati or paratha.
