Lentil Kibbeh

Rinse the lentils and place them in a pot with water over medium heat. Cook until the lentils are tender.

Once the lentils are cooked, add the bulgur and stir well. Cover the pot with a towel, then place the lid on top, and set aside.

Heat a little olive oil and the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté until they are lightly golden.

Add the sautéed onions to the lentil and bulgur mixture and mix well with a spoon.

Add salt, cumin, and the spices. Continue mixing and mashing the lentil and bulgur mixture until smooth. Once cooled, rub a little oil on your hands and knead the mixture.

Add the remaining olive oil and knead a bit more. Shape the mixture into small patties or press it into a serving dish.

Drizzle with oil and serve with lemon wedges and fresh vegetables. Enjoy!
