Winter white raddish are mild flavour, full of dietary fiber , vitamin C, low in calories ,and it's leaves are also consumed as leafy vegetables.
Made use of both( white raddish root & it's leaves) in thepla ( Gujarati savoury) making it nutritious .

Winter white raddish are mild flavour, full of dietary fiber , vitamin C, low in calories ,and it's leaves are also consumed as leafy vegetables.

Steps

Wash,peel,grate white raddish. In mixing bowl add grated raddish,wheat & oat flours, finely chopped raddish leaves,turmeric powder, red chilli powder,green chillies-ginger paste, dhania-jeera powder,white sesame seeds,salt & oil.

Mix and add little water to bind into semi soft dough... immediately use it to make theplas.

Heat the griddle for making theplas. Take a lemon size ball from prepared dough,roll & flatten it,dip in wheat flour (for dusting),roll out into 6" round rotis.(thepla)

On hot griddle roast above prepared roti(thepla) on medium flame on both sides with oil till golden brown spots appears. Similarly prepared all theplas from remaining dough.

Serve hot White raddish theplas with hot kadhi.

Tip: Need to make theplas immediately as soon as we bind the dough as raddish water release water, making the dough more soft, difficult to roll out theplas.
