Soto Ayam (Indonesian Chicken Soup) Soto Ayam (Indonesian Chicken Soup)
Soto ayam is one of my family favorite food. In Indonesian language, soto means soup and ayam means chicken. I always make this in a lazy way, using a slow cooker 😊 (very untraditional way to cook Soto Ayam in Indonesia). Please do not get intimidated by the long list of ingredients. It may not look much from the photo, but it is very delicious and incredibly flavorful. Pawon Indo Bule -
Soto Ayam (Indonesian Yellow Chicken Soup) Soto Ayam (Indonesian Yellow Chicken Soup)
‘Soto’ is a traditional Indonesian soup. There are many different kinds of soto. One of favorite is called ‘Soto Ayam’ from Surabaya, the capital city of East Java. It has yellow color broth and is composed of chicken meat, mung bean vermicelli, hard boiled eggs, and topped with koya (a powder of mixed prawn crackers and fried garlic). Turmeric is added as one of the ingredients to get the yellow color of the chicken broth. Instant Indonesian “Soto Ayam” (Yellow Chicken Soup) Instant Indonesian “Soto Ayam” (Yellow Chicken Soup)
#indonesianfoodSoto ayam is an Indonesian chicken soup. It’s one of classic authentic Indonesian soup. We can eat it along with noodle or rice. I prefer using both with a little rice and a little noodle. This soup is the most my favorite soup. I never get enough of it, I can have it every single day if I have to. This is an easy healthy soup that can be made it in the busy time. This recipe is very flavorful because of the aromat chicken broth that’s infused with the spices. In the traditional way, usually to made the broth we use a whole chicken. But today, since I am still in the #quarantine Covid-19, honestly I don’t have whole chicken in my freezer. And anyway since my hubby loves to eat vegetarian, I can’t cook a whole chicken for my self. So here I am going to share my instant recipe of Soto ayam using chicken broth the one I got from the store before quarantine. And I am going to shredded the leftover chicken wings from last night dinner for the topping, and I am going to use sliced fried tofu for my hubby. Okay, let’s started! Nia Hiura -

Tomato Chicken (TOMAT AYAM) Tomato Chicken (TOMAT AYAM)
This dish can be found in restaurants around Parai Tenggiri Beach (is one of the attractions located in Sungai Liat, Bangka, Bangka Belitung). Precisely located in the village of Sinar Baru which is approximately 30 kilometers north of the city of Pangkalpinang. This coastal area designated as a green tourist area or which is known as Green Parai Resort. The menu is simple, fried chicken dusted in flour and doused with tomato sauce. The Crispy taste of flour and sour-sweet freshness from the sauce and cucumber, creates a blend of yummy flavors on the tongue...How to make it very practical and easy to put into practice. Because it is used only a portion of chicken meat, meat that is still attached to the bones we can creations to taste. Made to mix broth, pan-fried seasoning sauce, etc. Dapoer-Indonesia @ us -

We love meatballs but I am always wary buying the packaged meatballs. It is healthier and of course cheaper to make them on your own. I like to store the mixture in the fridge for at least an hour so the meatballs will be firmer, but you can cook them right away if you like. Angela Mertoyono -

Mie Ayam Special Mie Ayam Special
Mie ayam (chicken noodles) is Indonesian comfort food. I never met Indonesian who doesnt like this food. It comes in many different versions depends on the cities. Bangkanese chicken noodle is way different with the one in Yogyakarta or Bandung. Different version has different recipe; like Yogyakarta version the chicken topping usually using lots spices like shallots, garlic, candlenut, corriander seeds, ginger, galangal, bay leaves, kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass and even some sellers could have put some curry powder too! Bangka version usually has more savoury taste and not using a lot spices similar with Chinese style. Not only different on the recipe, even how to serve the chicken could be different; whether using minced (chicken or mix pork), cubed, chopped or shredded. Also it could have some extra various topping, some people added bbq/roasted pork, soy sauce braised eggs/quail eggs, chicken feet, pokchoy, beansprout, wonton (fried/boiled), fish/meat ball, crab meat, fish cake etc depends on what type of chicken noodles you buy.Today i’m gonna share mie ayam ala Bandung (Bandung style).
