For the syrup, put a saucepan on flame and add water and sugar. Then add crushed cardamom and boil until the syrup becomes a little thick in consistency. Then, keep it aside for cooling.

Next, cut idlis into chunks and deep-fry them till they turn crispy brown.

Take them out and dip them into the sugar syrup. Let them soak in the sweetness for a few minutes and the dessert is ready to be served.

Garnish to idli jamun with chopped almonds flakes and serve.
