My son and I discovered this combo while trying to create a coleslaw that my dad would eat other than KFC's. This is his new favorite. "Best" he has ever had, supposedly. Hope you like it!

Ingredients

20 mins
4 servings
  1. 2 packagesTrader Joe's Shredded Cabbage (or 1 head of cabbage chopped)
  2. 1 cupChopped Celery
  3. 1/2 cupShredded Carrots
  4. 1/2 cupChopped Red, Yellow and Green Peppers (if you only use one I think the orange tastes best)
  5. 1Sweet Yellow Onion Chopped
  6. 1 cupMayo
  7. 1/2 cupGranulated Sugar
  8. 1/2 cupMilk
  9. 1/2 cupButtermilk
  10. 4 tspSeasoned Rice Vinegar
  11. 1 tspHot Sauce (we use Tapatio)
  12. 1 pinchPepper

Cooking Instructions

20 mins
  1. 1

Empty shredded cabbage into a mixing bowl. If you are choping your cabbage I recommend putting it through a food processor to make sure it is finely shredded.

  2. 2

Chop up celery, carrots, peppers & onions and add them to cabbage, and toss.

  3. 3

In a separate bowl, whisk mayo, sugar, milk, buttermilk, vinegar, hot sauce and pepper until well blended.

  4. 4

Once it looks like it is a dressing consistency, pour over coleslaw mixture and toss to coat. Refrigerate an hour for best flavor, but may also be served right away.
