  • Ready-made phyllo dough
  • as neededMelted butter,
  • For the filling, you have several options:
  • Chopped pistachios
  • Nutella with chopped pecans, chopped hazelnuts, or chopped almonds (you can mix them all together if you like)
  • Thick sugar syrup

Steps

    Place a layer of phyllo dough in a cheesecake pan, then brush it with melted butter. Add another layer of phyllo, brush with butter, and repeat until you have about six layers.

  2. 2

    Add your desired filling, keeping it away from the edges. Then add another layer of phyllo, brush with butter, and repeat layering and buttering until you have about six more layers.

  3. 3

    Brush the top with butter and cut the baklava into triangles or your preferred shape. Bake in a preheated oven at medium heat until golden brown. Pour the sugar syrup over the hot baklava to your preferred sweetness, then garnish with chopped pistachios or walnuts.
