Ingredients

  1. 3Bay Leaves
  2. 2Black Cardamom
  3. 1 StickCinnamon
  4. 1/2 CupMustard Oil
  5. 6Onions - Finely Sliced
  6. 2Large Onion - Roughly Chopped 6-7 Medium Potatoes
  7. 8-10Garlic Cloves
  8. 1 InchGinger
  9. 1/3 tbspBlack Pepper
  10. 3-4Dry Red Chilli
  11. 3-4Green Cardamom
  12. 1/4 tbspMace
  13. 1/4 tbspKalpasi/pather phool
  14. 4-5Kabab Chini
  15. 1/4 tbspShah Jeera
  16. 5-6Cloves
  17. 1 tbspJeera
  18. to TasteSalt
  19. 1/2 tbspTurmeric Powder
  20. 1/2 tbspCoriander Powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in cooker. - Add bay leaves, Black cardamom & cinnamon.

  2. 2

    Add onion & cook till turns brown. - In the mean time, wash & peel potatoes. Make deep slit into each potato.

  3. 3

    Add potatoes in the cooker & cook for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Grind garlic cloves, ginger & roughly chopped onion to make paste. - Add prepared paste, black pepper, dry red chilli, green cardamom, mace, clove, Shah jeera,Pather phool,jeera,Kabab Chini,salt, turmeric powder & coriander powder.

  5. 5

    Mix well and cook for 4-5 mints on medium flame. - Close the lid & pressure cook for 1 Whistle.

  6. 6

    Serve hot with Chapatis or Paranthas.
