Heat the olive oil gently in a frying pan and add crushed garlic and herbs. Saute gently then add canned tomatoes and tomato paste. Bring to the boil and add olives, salt and pepper. Simmer for a minute or two then add butter and disolve.

Serve with pasta and chicken or pork escalope.
