In a large bowl, combine the couscous, salt, and oil. Mix well and level the surface. Pour the boiling water over the couscous until it is covered by about 1/2 inch (1.5 cm) of water. Let it absorb for 5 to 10 minutes. Then, fluff the couscous with your hands in a circular motion to separate the grains. Transfer to a steamer (couscous pot) and steam for 30 minutes. Remove from heat, pour into a large bowl, fluff again, sprinkle with cold water, and return to the steamer to cook for another 15 minutes.

Remove the couscous from the heat and pour it into a large bowl. Immediately add 9 oz (250 grams) of butter and mix until the butter melts and is fully absorbed (if the couscous cools, the butter won't melt). Then add 5.3 oz (150 grams) of powdered sugar and mix well.

Place the couscous on a serving platter and garnish with cinnamon, almonds, dates, hard-boiled eggs, powdered sugar, or as you like. Everyone has their own way of decorating.
