Chai Tea Sugar Cookies

This is a recipe me and my family made this week to celebrate my birthday. This recipe was inspired by our favorite singer, Taylor Swift. She gave this recipe out on her blog and we made it to celebrate my special day. The cookies are simple and we’re delicious! Obviously my family and I are Swifties which just made this more fun to make.

Ingredients

1 stickbutter
1/2 cupvegetable oil
1/2 cupgranulated sugar
1/2 cuppowdered sugar
1large egg
2 teaspoonvanilla extract
2 cupsall purpose flour
1/2 teaspoonbaking soda
1/4 teaspoonsalt
1 bagchai tea

Preheat oven 350. Line tray with parchment and paper.

Using mixer on medium combine butter and oil. Next add granulated sugar, powdered sugar, egg and vanilla. Mix on medium until each ingredient is fully incorporated.

Add flour, baking soda, salt. Cut open chai tea bag and pour in as well. Mix on low until fully incorporated.

(Optional) Refrigerate dough for one hour.

Make 2 tbsp size dollops, space 2 in apart, press down to 1/4 in, sprinkle granulated sugar on top.

Bake 12-14 minutes.
