Minced Shrimp Lettuce Wrap

This is a popular dish in taiwan or chinese society. Traditionally, we use iceberg lettuce as a bowl, the other ingredients all cut into small dices. Shrimps, water chestnut and fried bread stick, Chinese celery are the main ingredients.
We stir fry all ingredients, then put them in the lettuce bowl. sprinkle chopped fried bread stick.
But if some ingredients can’t easy to get. Also can replaced by others.
Like water chestnut can replaced by apple.
Chinese celery can replaced by celery.
Fried bread stick can replaced by nuts or corn chips.
iceberg lettuces can replaced by romaine lettuces
You can change some vegetables into others to make it coloful.

Steps

Lettuce put in a wash bowl, under the running water, cut the top of lettuce, separate the leaves carefully. then cut into a bowl shape.

Remove the intestine mud of shrimps, cut into 1cm cubes. then roughly chopped.
mix 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp white pepper, 1/2 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp rice wine, 1 tsbp corn starch and shrimps. marinate for 20 minutes - 3
Cut the rest of ingredients into small dices.
crush cashrew - 4
Add 1/2tbsp cooking oil, stir-fry shrimps until the color becomes red. take the shrimps out.

Add garlic, ginger and onion. stir-fry for 1 min. then add carrot, mushroom, water chestnuts, stir-fry for another 1 min.
add 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp white pepper. then add shrimps, before finish add 1/2 tsp sesame oil and chinese celery, stir-fry for 10sec. then transfer to a serving dish. - 6
Put some in a lettuce bowl, then sprinkle cashew on the top.
