Sloppy Joe

A friend once mentioned having ground beef and was unsure what to cook with it. They eventually decided to make Sloppy Joes, so I googled the recipe out of curiosity and found it interesting to try.
If you're tired of regular burger patties, Sloppy Joes can be a great alternative.
If you don't have burger buns, you can use regular sandwich bread.

Steps
- 1
Sauté the garlic and onion until cooked, then add the ground beef and stir until browned.
- 2
Add the bell pepper, and once it softens, add the water and wait for it to boil.
- 3
Once boiling, add the salt, sugar, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and mustard. Let it boil until the liquid reduces and the mixture thickens. Adjust the seasoning. Be careful not to add too much mustard, as it can become sour and ruin the taste.
- 4
Split the burger buns in half, spread a little butter, and lightly toast them in a pan. Then, assemble the Sloppy Joe filling and cheese.
- 5
Serve with French fries. If using mozzarella cheese, you can heat the Sloppy Joes in the microwave or grill them in a pan.
