It's been a long time since I shared anything, hahaha. I don't know why I've been too lazy to bake. Suddenly, I craved a burger, so I decided to make one. But honestly, it was super rushed because I had a last-minute event. I was proofing the dough while taking a shower, baking while doing my makeup, and my hands were shaking so much that I messed up my eyeliner. I felt like I was going to explode, wanting to scream out loud. I even ran to the back to grab a plate before changing clothes. I was so unfocused that I took the wrong picture, haha, so embarrassing. It really showed how amateur I was. I should have focused on the burger in the front, but I ended up focusing on the middle one. My heart was racing, but oh well, at least I documented it to share. I hope it's useful. ^_^

Steps

  1. 1

Mix the flour, yeast, and sugar. Stir until well combined. Add the egg and water (add the water gradually, leaving about 2 tablespoons). Mix on speed 1 until the dough is smooth.

  2. 2

Once smooth, add the butter and salt. Continue mixing until the dough is elastic.

  3. 3

Form the dough into a large ball. Let it rest in a bowl covered with a damp cloth until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.

  4. 4

Deflate the dough, flatten it, roll it up, and then cut it into 10 to 15 pieces.

    Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  10. 10

Bake for 20 minutes at 350°F (180°C). Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) for 10 minutes. If using a traditional oven, preheat it with medium heat. Once hot, bake until done (avoid low heat to prevent drying out, and high heat to prevent burning). Once baked, brush the tops with butter, let them cool, then wrap in plastic to keep them soft (wait until they cool).

  11. 11

Mine turned out a bit small, haha, but they're perfect for burgers, not too filling or overwhelming.

  12. 12

They were a bit wrinkled. Why? Do you know the reason? I do, haha, because I let the second fermentation go too long. It should have been 30 minutes, but I went over 40. Please understand, I was rushed and confused about what to do first, between makeup and dough, haha.
