Ingredients

  1. 6idlis (cooked/ leftovers)
  2. 4-5garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  3. 1 tspgreen chilli ginger paste
  4. 1onion (petals)
  5. 1capsicum,(cubed)
  6. 1/2 cupcabbage
  7. 2 tbspspring onion
  8. 1 tspred chilli sauce
  9. 1 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  10. 1 tbsptomato sauce
  11. 1 tbspvinegar
  12. 1 tbspschezwan sauce
  13. Fewdrops orange food colour (optional)
  14. 2 tbspoil
  15. Forbatter:
  16. 1/4 cupAll purpose flour
  17. 2 + 1 tbsp corn flour
  18. 1 tbsprice flour
  19. to tastesalt
  20. 1/2 tspred chilli powder

Steps

  1. 1

    First cut all idli into long strips.

    In a bow add all purpose flour, corn flour, rice flour,salt and red chilli powder,mix well,add water and make medium thick batter.

    Meanwhile heat oil in a wok, now dip idli pieces one by one into the better and drop into hot oil.Fry until nice golden in colour on medium to high flame.keep aside.

    Now in a pan/wok heat 2tbsp oil, add chopped garlic,stir for few secs. add onion,capsicum and cabbage.Saute on a medium heat for few minutes.

    Add ginger chilli paste,saute well.Add soya sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar, red chilli sauce, schezwan sauce,food colour and salt.Mix well.

    In a small bowl add 1 tbsp corn flour and water to make paste,add this corn flour paste in the pan and mix well.

    Add fried idli and saute until well combined.
