Ingredients

  • 2-1/4 cupsself rising flour
  • 1 cupbuttermilk
  • 1 tablespoonsbutter cubed
  • 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  • As neededpeanut oil to fry in

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut the cold butter into very small cubes

  2. 2

    Mix all the ingredients except oil. Form into a ball and knead 1-2 minutes. Heat oil.

    Roll into a cylinder rolling each part into an oblong disc.

    Fry in the hot oil till done, it will take 2 minutes on first side and 1 minute second side.
