Today I am sharing with you a vegetable made with jackfruit pods and it's seeds and it is a totally onion-garlic free dish.
This recipe is mostly prepared in Goa and Konkan region during the season of jackfruit.

Ingredients

4 servings

1 cupraw jackfruit pods chopped
1/4 cupjackfruit seeds chopped into small pieces
3-4green chilies
4-5black pepper
1 cupfreshly grated coconut
1 tspjaggery
as per tasteSalt
1/4 tspmustard seeds
1/4 tspturmaric powder
Pinchasafoetida
1 tspoil

Firstly in mixie jar add chilli & black pepper. Grind.

Add fresh grated coconut. Grind coarsely.

Heat oil in kadhai.add mustard seeds.when mustard seeds star cracking add pinch of Hing.

Add jackfruit seeds pieces and cook until they soften by adding little water.

Once seeds cooked add turmeric powder, jaggery,salt, jackfruit pods pieces and the ground mixture of coconut.

Mix well all together. Cook for 5 mints.
