Mungdal Khakhra

Khakhras and Gujaratis are incomplete without each other. They are official partners 😊. This thin, flat & crispy snack is favourite of all Gujaratis though now khakhra spread it's fame to other communities also.
Though making of khakhra is little hard as rolling thin khakhra and roasting it on slow flame needs patience. But homemade is homemade. Quality & purity assured. Agreed?

Steps
- 1
Mash mung dal with help of hand.
- 2
Add all spices and oil in wheat flour & mix well.
- 3
Mix mashed dal and flour mix & knead pliable dough by adding water.
- 4
Now roll thin roti like khakhra out of dough. Use dry flour for rolling.
- 5
Then cook khabar from both sides with the wooden press. If you wish, you can add few drops of ghee while roasting.
- 6
Store in air tight container, once it cools down. Applying gher over it while eating it, enhances it's taste.
