Steps

Preheat oven at 180 degrees Celsius.

Cream sugar and butter together until light and fluffy.

Add in vanilla flavour and eggs, one at a time.

Sift flour, baking powder and soda together.

Divide the flour into 2 batches and add one batch at a time, mixing gently. Be careful not to over mix. Add in the second batch. Stop mixing when all flour has been incorporated.

Lastly, dissolve the milk in 1 tbsp of water and add to the batter. Mix gently. Scoop the batter into the cakecup.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15- 20 mins. Remove when done and cool on a rack.
