  1. 8.8 ozdried beef (machaca)
  2. 2 clovesgarlic, finely chopped
  3. 3tomatoes, finely chopped
  4. 1serrano pepper
  5. 1 teaspoonflour
  6. salt to taste
  7. as neededoil
  8. 3 cupswater
  9. diced potatoes or peas to taste (optional)

    In a bit of oil, sauté the onion until translucent, add the garlic and cook until slightly golden, then add the shredded beef and fry until it browns a little. Add the flour and cook for a couple of minutes, then add the tomatoes and the pepper.
