I was looking for something different to do with a roast I had in the freezer and this didn't disappoint. I borrowed a technique from Kenji Lopez-Alt in caramelizing the onions. Adding the water allows the Maillard reactions (responsible for browning) evenly and without burning the onions, resulting in sweet, savory onions. I used top sirloin, but you can use any large roast for this recipe, chuck might actually stand up better to the low, slow cooking. Try to use the freshest spices you can scrounge up! Jon Valdez -

This is a basic everyday curry. The same method can be used for a chicken curry. Chicken cooking time will be about 20 mins less. Nabila Bashir1970 -

Aubergine and Chickpea Curry Aubergine and Chickpea Curry
This is a really healthy vegetarian curry which is high in protein, low in fat, but big in flavour and super tasty! If your not a fan of too much spice, you can use less Chillies/paprika and add plain natural yoghurt to cool it down. Can be eaten with white/brown rice, naan etc jacqueline.sarah.x -

Chicken Curry Chicken Curry
My little ones love the taste and flavour of my chicken curry and they are always asking for daddy’s chicken curry 😊The curry is medium hot however it can be made more hotter and spicier by more chilli and whole spices.Served best with rice and yoghurt. Can also be served with Roti. This recipe can serve 4-6 people.Leftovers can be put in the fridge and can be eaten up 3 days from when the chicken curry is made. kv -
Great with Naan♪ Beef and Bean Curry Great with Naan♪ Beef and Bean Curry
Back when I made curry with a spice packet bought from an e-commerce store, I realized how to make authentic curry. I sometimes make this kind of curry. You can make it any time you gather the ingredients together♪.You could easily mince the onions if you have a food processor. For those of you that who prefer roughly minced meat, give it a quick whirl in the food processor for a satisfying texture and it'll be delicious♪.There are a lot of ingredients, so it might look like too much of a pain to make, but you doesn't take that long. If you take prep the mincing first, then the rest is relatively easy. My family doesn't like tomatoes, so I used minced meat this time, but feel free to use your preferred ingredients. When using chicken meat to make curry, marinate the chicken in 100 g yogurt first (for about an hour), and then add to the pot with the yogurt to make a delicious curry without the peculiar odor.
